Located one road over from South point [southern most point in the USA] our Bed and Breakfast is located on a working Macadamia Nut Farm. We offer complimentary, educational orchard tours to our guests where you may learn the history of Macadamia Nut Farming here in Hawaii. We've had write ups about our farm in the New York Times, Bon Appetite and Cooking Light Magazines. We appeal to folks wanting to get a 'real' taste of Hawaii.We're proud to have been faming pesticide free for over 12 years now with the help of our free ranging Hawaiian chickens. In our immediate area guests enjoy two very unique beaches. One is composed of Green Sand [yes you read that right] and the other is a Black Sand Beach where you can often see Green & the rarer Hawksbill Sea Turtles. Volcano National Park is just a 45 minute drive from our farm and we make a great home base for island exploring being located exactly 1/2 way from the larger towns of Kona & Hilo Nearest Airport : Kona & Hilo Airport at 60 Miles Nearest Motorway : Highway 11 at 1 Miles Nearest Beach : Punalu`u Black Sand & Papakaleo Green Sand Beaches at 10 Miles Nearest Barpub : Shaka Restaurant at 2 Miles Nearest Restaurant : Hana Hou Restaurant at 2 Miles Car: necessary Welcome to the area where the first Polynesians landed. We are centrally located 1/2 way between Hilo and Kona and make a great home base for island exploring [our location helps cut down on driving time as well]. Guests may enjoy our complimentary, educational orchard tours [got a write up in the New York Times] and even arrange to pick some Macadamia Nuts while here [1/2 price for those you pick your self]. We've been farming pesticide free with the help of our free ranging Hawaiian chickens for over 12 years now. Macadamia Meadows Farm B&B: We've been sharing our spacious farm home with guests from around the world, literally, for over 13 years now. The Room we have featured here is our Moa suite. You have the perks of a private rental with all the benefits of a B&B. Enjoy a filling daily breakfast served on our lanai, have your suite cleaned. If you need some info about the area - we're glad to help you enjoy your vacation to the max.
