Description

This secluded one of a kind property is located on beautiful Island Lake with the best swimming and fishing located right off the dock. Keep a lookout for the eagles flying over head!! The lake is very PRIVATE, small motors only , with no public launch. Chances are you may not see any one else during your stay. The main house has a master bedroom and bathroom, spacious living room and dining room with views of the grounds and lake. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms share a full bathroom across the hall. There is a main kitchen with newer appliances and a utility room that has an indoor grill as well as an extra sink, refrig and oven. The "loft house" has its own bedroom and bathroom with shower, as well as full kitchen. The loft area has extra beds that over look the vaulted living room with various game heads guarding the house. All of which have a grand view of the property and lake. Grab a freshly brewed cup of coffee after you awake from your restfull sleep. Stroll down to the "coffee deck" which over looks the lake just above the main dock. Breathe in the fresh morning air, as you listen to the resident loons, and watch for deer as they come to water with their fawns. After breakfast, take the kids out to the dock for some fishing. Prepare to be taking alot of fish off the hooks because the bluegills and bass love our dock. Lunch on the dock and sunning on the floating raft, is great after a swim. The kids can explore the woods and hike to the creek to catch turtles and frogs. There is a half court basketball area, volleyball/ badminton set, archery range, and swing set for the athletes in the family. When you want to rest, there are many places to hide on this property to read a book or take a nap, like an enclosed screened in porch, screened in gazebo, and multiple decks surrounding the loft house. The large gazebo overlooking the entire lake is perfect for cocktails and dinner. Two grills and a deep fryer are ready to fry up your catch. The Wausaukee area offers some fine dining and we will supply you with recomendations and directions. A visit to the "Ice Cream Station" is must after dinner. Enjoy your treat while driving through the country while counting deer and turkey and the catching sight of the occasional bear. Ladies shopping and antiquing in Wausaukee, Crivitz, Amberg, and Pembine is a great diversion. Gents, there are two great golf courses within 15 minutes of the house. Fall is great time to visit the northwoods, the colors are amazing, there are great festivals and local Octoberfests to enjoy. Winter here is also great fun. Sledding right in the back yard and miles of snowmobile trails! Pine Mountain Ski Resort is 45 mins. away in Iron Mountain, Mi. Keywords: Cabin, house, guest home,
