We are looking forward to our Spring Break get-away and the early season trout fishing. It has been a long cold winter, looking at the same four walls, and we are ready to break out into the wild. The year has be blessed with layers of snowfall that will feed the rivers a continual sip of clear water deep into summer. We look forward to a little hiking on the mountain rims to see the emerging buds of the 2014 new year, and the glory of the spring flowers apon the forest floor. This stunning mountain cabin is a luxurious and complete cozy get-away. It is perfect for a couple, but will also please a small outdoor-loving, active family that ventures out into the surrounding Monongahela National Forest to bike, hike, fish, hunt, kayak, photograph and explore. Take all of your toys. The Williams River is across the field in front of the cabin-150' away. The Cranberry River is short drive over Red Oak mountain into its watershed - 9 miles. The Williams River is more than 25 mile long. We have a short video that will show details fo the cabin and the surrounding immediate area: http://vimeo.com/20651993 The screened-in front porch with the rocking chairs is a great place to watch the sunrise with your favorite cup of coffee or tea, and the one you love. Or, let your love one sleep in and you enjoy the glory of the dawn, as you refresh your thoughts and mind. Frequently, there are deer sharing the morning with you as they cross the field. We love to grill many of our meals on the gas grill. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, dishes, cork screw, skewers, some spices, etc. Sheets and towels are provided. There is Dishwasher soap. West Virginia's Department of Natural Resources will make one stocking in January, two in February, and weekly throughout the remainder of the spring on Williams and Cranberry Rivers in 2014. In October there will be two stockings in each river. The stockings on the other surrounding rivers is very generous as well. We wish you Good Fishing!!!
