This charming bungalow is located 1 mile from downtown Beaufort, a fabulous walk along Taylorâs Creek on Front St (also safe for biking and strollers) or Â½ mile east to public boat ramp with direct access to Taylorâs Creek and Beaufort Inlet. If you plan to bring a power boat or kayak, this house is perfectly located for daily water access. Pull the boat out of the water and a short drive back home! The house is ideal for a small family or group of friends who want extended access to the Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks, and the inland waterways around Beaufort Inlet and Crystal coast. The town of Beaufort, established in 1709, is North Carolinaâs third oldest city. The charm of the original village is intact with many tree-lined streets and colonial style homes. Biking around Beaufort is easy and fun. Many restaurants offer a variety of choices from burgers, to Mexican, to fine dining on the waterfront. The town marina attracts large yachts. You will often see wild horses just across Taylorâs Creek on Carrot Island. Beautiful beaches are just a short drive away in Atlantic Beach and the Emerald Isle. World-class fishing, kayaking, scuba diving, and the Cape Lookout National Seashore offer the perfect way to enjoy the waterways and ocean. (15 minutes from Fort Macon State Park and the North Carolina Aquarium, 50 minute drive to Hammocks Beach State Park). Accommodations include: wireless internet throughout, downstairs bedroom with 1 queen size bed, 1 queen futon in living room (private partition), 1 queen futon in den, and 1 bath. Upstairs is 1 bedroom with 1 twin bed and 1 queen bed in same room and 1 bath. The large kitchen area (gas stove) and adjacent dining table is ideal for casual conversation. The screened-in porch has a gas grill and small outside deck. The driveway is wide enough for a boat on trailer. Two adult bikes and 1 kayak are available for use.
