Rustic Acres was the estate of Henry Wright in the 1930's, featuring a main house copied after Will Rogers' home in Oklahoma. Each of the three cottages still use their original names. Guest House, Play House, and Kozy Kottage. Rustic Acres is located in the heart of northern Wisconsin's 'Lake Rich' region. With over 200 feet of frontage on Deer Lake. Rustic Acres offers access to 28 lakes, the world's largest inland Chain of Lakes. Surrounded by four acres of beautiful pines, it is approached by a scenic winding lane, and offers beautifully maintained grounds including a large front lawn ideal for games and sunbathing which sweeps to the lake. Hugging the lakeshore is a sandy beach where the lake gently slopes to deep water making it ideal for swimming. A large screened 'summerhouse' at the lakeshore provides ample space for entertaining. Furnished with a bar dining area and full size refrigerators for guests' use, it offers additional space for large group gatherings. The outdoor grill, campfire pit and lounge chairs complement the space. Rustic Acres is only 6 miles from Three Lakes, 2 miles from a 9-hole golf course, and from the Aqua Devils waterski show. It is within easy driving distance to many northwoods attractions including the Nicolet National Forest, with its numerous hiking, biking, and snowmobile trails. Kozy Kottage comfortably accommodates 4 guests with 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other with a double bed. Additional space for 2 guests is available on the queen size sofa bed in the main room. There is a charge of $50.00 per week per extra guest. All bedding and kitchen towels are furnished. Guests are asked to bring their own bath and beach towels. A 14-foot aluminum row boat is furnished for guest to use. There is plenty of space for docking a boat. Public boat landings are nearby, as well as a full-service marina on the next lake with excellent launching facilities.
