Whipple, STUDY OUT THE LAND ********************* Built in 1990 by two sisters for their families, the floor plan offers two bedrooms and a bath with a shower on each side, with a pocket door for privacy; living area with a great room, kitchen and a cathedral ceiling with skylights. The front of the house has a Western style porch for its complete length as does the back and it's screened. It has a full basement, with a complete bathroom and shower, laundry room, storage space, if needed, a two car garage and a garden hose to get remove sand from the beach prior to entering the living area. The house sits on a wooded corner lot at the intersection of Hawthorne and Mimosa. It's walking distance down Mimosa to the main, overwhelmingly private access beach for Pine Knoll Shores, with a private parking lot and a large dune situm deck, with tables and plenty of sitting room, overlooking the ocean. Renters will be provide a gate pass for this unique amenidity. The east-west direction of Bogue Banks provides a rare place on the Atlantic to see sunrises and sets on the ocean. On this barrier island, amenities are close and plentiful. Grocery store (Food Lion), hardware (Ace), movie theater, book store with daily NYT & WSJ, restaurants, US Post Office, Bogue Banks Library, a half mile, provides free computers; the house has wireless internet and a digital phone; several excellent, well known restaurants are on the east end of the island including The Channel Marker, The Clamdigger, The Diner (breakfast & lunch), McCurty's and The Crab Shack; the house is a short distance from the bridge to mainland accessing the highest concentration of modern conveniences as those found in most cities and centers on the towns of Morehead City and Beaufort. The east end of the island provides renters a more choices for how public or private you wish to make your vacation or R & R.
