Half a block from the Neuse River on a quiet street in Historic Downtown New Bern, this 2 bedroom house is decorated with antique decor. Upstairs are two bedrooms (queen and full beds), an updated full bath with antique charm, and a reading area with a view of the river. Downstairs, enjoy meals in a 1930's style kitchen, with fully-functioning vintage gas stove, and separate dining room. Relax in either of the two sitting rooms,one with natural gas logs or you can relax on the screened-in porch overlooking the garden. This guest house is located in the beautiful National Historic District of New Bern, North Carolina, the Colonial Capital founded in 1710. It is walking distance from many of the local attractions, including the many other historic homes, shops, such as the Pepsi Store, which recognizes the creation of Pepsi-Cola in New Bern in 1898, and, Tryon Palace, the Colonial Governorâs Mansion and surrounding gardens and the new History Center. The beautiful beaches of North Carolinaâs Crystal Coast are just a short drive away. Amenities include basic cable, wireless internet, washer/dryer, and microwave. Street parking is available.
