Description

Our cozy mountain chalet is a retreat from the stresses of life in the city. It is only one hour north of L.A. and easily accessible on Interstate 5. There are four seasons to enjoy in Pine Mountain Club. You can hike, horseback ride, swim in the community pool, golf or just relax in our cozy chalet. Our winters are beautiful with lots of snow and many winter activities. Make sure you check the weather report and have snow chains with you in winter time. The house is tastefully decorated and lends itself to quiet dinners, listening to music on the satellite channels, lazying on the many floor pillows in the loft or cozying up on the comfortable couch. Enjoy a bit of T.V. on the flatscreen or go out on the deck at night and watch the stars and the milky way. Wake up to the sound of birds and other little creatures and catch a glimpse of the deer, quail and other critters. Sip your morning coffee on the deck or drink your evening wine under the star-filled night sky. If you put bird seed out on the deck, you will get visits from chipmunks, bluejays and other assorted guests. The house is shoeless, so leave your footwear outside and let your worries evaporate as the house takes you into its embrace. Turn off your cell phone and go back to nature and the peaceful quiet of our mountain community. The downstairs guest room can be accessed from the outside or the inside. The inside stairs are steep, so take care in climbing down. Older children are welcomed, but the many stairs and three levels might not be suitable for young children. Bring food to cook and water for cooking and drinking as the tap water is on the hard side. The general store is well stocked, so if you forget something, you can find it there.
