Description

Jackson's offers approximately 100 wooded acres for you to enjoy. Many guests enjoy walking among the tall pines away from the cottage area. Animal lovers can see a variety of birds and other wildlife within only a minute's walk of their cottage. A favorite place for fun is our large playground area where guests play horseshoes, volleyball, or softball We also have playground equipment and a sandbox for our younger guests. Little St. Germain ranks as one of the top recreational lakes in northern Wisconsin. Beneath the surface of it's 956 acres roam excellent panfish, walleye, bass, northern pike, and trophy muskie. Fishing is just a small part of the lakes allure. Every summer, loons, eagles, ducks, and osprey take up residence and provide an exceptional atmosphere. The most popular feature at Jackson's is our waterfront. The swimming area is a clear water, sand bottom that slopes gently, making it safe for children. A lawn area adjacent to the lake provides a terrific place to just relax. Ample docking space is available for boats of all sizes. Our docks are also popular with our younger guests, as many pan fish are caught off the piers. The Homestead was the home that George and Janet Jackson built together in 1954. Origionally 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, it was expanded in the fall of 1972 to add a master bedroom, larger dining area, 2nd bath, and extra living space. Sons Tom and Ken started the remodeling of the Homestead in late summer 2010 and finished the work in July, 2011. A porch and deck were added, and many new changes were added to make it a super vacation home. There are many items in the house celebrating the history of the resort and the Jackson Family. During the winter months and parts of the spring and fall we are able to rent based on the number in your party. If you have a smaller group, we can modify your rate to fit your group.
