Open year round, Willow Creek Ranch offers the ranch experience at a fraction of the cost of a 'Dude Ranch'. Reservations are going fast since we listed the Lodge...book your stay soon. The ranch's 35 acres is heavily treed with Ponderosa pines, Douglas fir, blue spruce, and beautiful aspens on the west end of Evergreen. The Rocky Mountains, the meadows, and the hills surrounding the ranch are beautiful all year. You can join us in the morning or evening when we feed the horses, cows and calves. You can help feed or just tag along with us. Campfires are usually set up every evening as they are a great deal of fun, and at no cost to you. Our horses are for lease and will be discussed further in this writing (see below). Hiking in the Arapaho National Forest is at your leisure and we will show you the paths to take. Pack a snack, bring some water, grab your camera, and enjoy the views. Our rural country roads are great for a walk or run too. We would love to introduce you to the ranch life, the critters who live with us on the ranch and those that live just on the other side of the fence. Ranch life is hard work, fun if you love the lifestyle, and we certainly do. Our guests have access to the ranch property which makes introduction to the ranch and the critters who live on it a must. Relax on the large deck with your favorite beverage and watch the horses, deer or elk graze by. In the evening do some star gazing while listening to the forest sounds as they lull you to sleep. Your family and friends are more than welcome to visit you at any time during your stay. There is plenty of room for a family reunion, barbeque, and there is lots of room for play. Let us know ahead of time and we can arrange for a campfire at no charge. Since this is a working ranch, waivers must be signed by all guests. The Lodge, rented to one family or group at a time, has 3,000 plus square feet on 3 levels with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The Master Bedroom is in the large loft area, has a king bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, and a large bath. The Loft area outside the Master Bedroom has a queen sleeper sofa with a 5 inch memory foam mattress. The main level has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, bath, mud room with a large pantry, a great room with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace (wood provided at no charge for short terms rentals), a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, and dining room. The garden level walk-out basement has a flat big screen TV, leather sectional, exquisite pool table, foos ball table, bathroom, and a sleeper sofa in the reading area with a 5 inch memory foam mattress. The large laundry room has a washer, dryer, and folding table. The glass doors lead to a flagstone patio from the walk-out garden level basement. The main level has a wrap around deck and a smaller deck with a gas grill off the mud room. The Lodge is about 500 yards from the Barn with lots of privacy. We also have vrbo.com Listing #306683 for our 1 and 2 Bedroom Barn Lofts in case you need detached space for friends or extended family members. We are adding our 500 square foot Bunkhouse soon...it will be easily accessible for family members who cannot climb the stairs. This is also great for family reunions, barbeques, rehearsal dinners. We will book small weddings 50-60 guests along with the booking of the Lodge and the Barn Lofts together...There is a very reasonable additional fee required for use of the ranch for weddings and family reunions depending on the number of guests. Major ski areas are within fifteen minutes to 1 1/2 hours of the ranch...Echo, Loveland, Winter Park, Mary Jane, Keystone, Copper and Vail. Entertainment, the Broncos, Rockies, Elitch Gardens Amusement Park (formerly Six Flags), Dinner & Theater are just 30-40 minutes away in the opposite direction from the ranch. You can have the best of both worlds...ski at Vail in the morning and have dinner, enjoy the theater, or a Rockies or Bronco's game in Denver in the evening. Willow Creek Ranc
