Description
Beautiful, oceanfront cottage with 300 feet of beach and large yard. Wonderful porch to view great sunsets! This location is close enough to Portland and Freeport by ferry service to enjoy shopping and restaurants, yet located on Chebeague Island off a private and secluded cottage road for total relaxation. Activities include biking, kayaking, relaxing in a hammock, and only a short 1/2 mile to recreation center with an outdoor pool, tennis courts, and fitness facility. Adults can lounge on the beach while children search for hermit crabs and sand dollars! Clamming licenses are available as well. Four adult bicycles and one - 2 person kayak are included in the rental. There is a challenging 9 hole golf course on the island which we have a set of clubs for you to use and you can rent additional sets at the club house. One bedroom downstairs with queen bed and twin bed. Two bedrooms upstairs with large dormers for great water views. Upstairs bedrooms include a room with a double bed featuring matching hand painted antique furniture. The second upstairs bedroom comes with two twin beds. Full kitchen with all amenities and cooking utensils. Amenities include a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, and a large lobster/clam cooker. Propane grill provided as well. The living room has two sofas, television, dvd, vcr, books and several movies. A wood stove is also in the room. The cottage has a large tiled bathroom with tub/shower and double sinks. Outdoor shower to rinse off sand and saltwater. Many recent renovations make this a wonderful and comfortable cottage for your vacation enjoyment. The Chebeague Inn is available for additional family and friends, plus serves delicious meals and has a fabulous porch for cocktails and sunsets. There is a 9-hole golf course and tennis courts at the Chebeague Inn as well. The Clam Shack provides easy dinning at picnic tables or take out for sea food, comfort food, ice cream, or try a fantastic Chebeager pizza! The island has a lot to offer!
