The property is located in the Blue Diamond Recreation area between Chippewa Falls & Chetek. Marshmiller Lake is a 436 acre lake with excellent fishing. I purchased this land in 2002 and built this home. I did a lot of the work myself. The home has two 9 ft trapezoid windows, one 9 ft casement window and a 9 ft french door all facing the lake.The french door opens onto a 10 ft x 38 ft deck and a 8 ft x 28 ft porch. The main floor of the home boasts a living room with gas fireplace, dining room and kitchen featuring the open concept and all rooms have a great view of the lake. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor are very spacious and there is a full bathroom. The upstairs has large master bedroom area, full bathroom and a loft sitting area with a great view of the lake. The deck has plenty of room for enjoying the sun, woods & wildlife and if it rains the porch offers plenty of room for relaxing out of the elements.The home also has central air conditioning and a full basement with a washer and dryer. The lake front has a low elevation, sandy bottom and is shallow. There is a paddle boat, canoe and 2 kayaks available for use. Marshmiller Lake is rated as one of the best pan fishing lakes in Wisconsin. It is loaded with nice sized blue gills, crappies and also has a nice population of large mouth bass and northern. Marshmiller is also very popular in the winter with great ice fishing. The lake has been featured several times on Dave Carlson's Outdoors Wisconsin TV program.The property overlooks the lake to the west and we get some fabulous sunsets. There is also a fire pit in the front yard near the lake. This is a great gathering spot in the evening with a nice warm campfire, s'mores and some beverages. The property is located near the Chippewa County ATV trail which connects to many other trails in the area. The Chippewa County Trail is one of the best in the state. The snowmobile trails are also accessible directly from the property. The Chippewa County Forest is located just a few miles down the road and it has hiking trails, horseback riding trails, XC skiing trails, public hunting areas and ATV rentals are available nearby. There are 2 resorts w/full bar/restaurants on the lake. Both resorts also offer pontoon & fishing boat rentals and bait. Although Marshmiller Lake is a decent sized lake at 436 acres, I would not recommend that renters use jet skis or water skis on this lake. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a nice secluded spot this is the place for you.
