The cottage is located in a small village just across the Neuse River from downtown New Bern. Just down the street is the new Bridgetown Harbor Marina. This cozy home was built in the 1950's and has been updated with all modern amenities. It has been decorated in a 'shabby chic' beach theme. You can enjoy a sun porch with a Nags Head hammock porch swing and rocking chairs. Perfect for relaxing, reading a good book or listening to music. You are within walking distance of the river or you can use one of the bikes provided. **New this season:kayaks to use on the river**You will find a covered back deck with picnic table and gas grill to cook your evening meals. Inside, the home has 2 large bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a full and twin bed. Each bedroom offers TV connected to cable. You will find 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, frig, microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen also offers a breakfast bar where you can eat as well. There is a beautiful dining room for more'formal' dining with an adjoining living room. The living area also has a flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure. Linens are provided or you may bring your own. There is a washer and dryer available just off of the kitchen. You can also use the office area complete with desk and bookshelves. WiFi can be accessed. Just across the bridge you can visit historic downtown New Bern where you will find shops, restaurants, marinas and parks. Be sure to check out all the Bears around the city. It is only a 30 min drive to Atlantic Beach and 1 hour from Cape Lookout. An information packet will be available upon arrival to tell you where the many local attractions can be found.
