Springhill Cottage, located about 1 ½ miles from Bayfield, is the perfect home base for your visit to Bayfield. Nestled on a south-facing hillside with panoramic views, the cottage is part of a country estate that was a historic apple orchard. From Springhill, itâs a quick trip to town, the beach, hiking trails, biking, kayaking, marinas, berry farms, orchards and restaurants. The property is adjacent to the Apostle Highlands Golf Course. At the top of a long private driveway, the cottage is quiet and secluded and you can leave your bicycles, kayaks, etc without worry. Youâll be the only guests on the property, but you may be visited by a variety of birds and other wildlife. Youâre invited to enjoy the extensive gardens on the estate. Along with unusual perennials and a creek water feature, the property is home to several rare chestnut trees. The cottage has one bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. The living room is furnished with a comfy couch, chairs, and a Franklin fireplace. There are books, games, puzzles and cable television for indoor entertainment. The kitchen has a dining table with lake views, and is equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Cookware and tableware are also provided. Perfect for two guests, the cottage also has a covered porch for enjoying your morning coffee, a good book, or a glass of wine and recap of your day. Forced air heat, the fireplace, and air conditioners will keep you comfortable no matter what the weather does. Honeymooners and couples of all ages have enjoyed Springhill Cottage during the 8+ years it has been available to guests. Sorry, we can not accommodate children and pets. The owners live in a separate home on the premises, and are happy to answer your questions about the Bayfield area. Youâll book and check in with the Winfield Inn. Springhill cottage is currently available during May, June and July. Additional times may be added at a later time.
