Description

Snowfalls is the perfect cabin in the woods, summer and winter. This home backs up to a gorgeous mountain stream that is beautiful in the winter and a fantastic place for children to play in the summer. The soothing sounds of the brook lull you to sleep in the summer months. The home is an easy walk to the bottom of the chair lift at Timberline Ski Resort and you can almost ski there with ample snow. The house is always quiet, even on the busiest ski days and is a 5 minute walk to the lodge for a good dinner. The ski entrance is the perfect spot to store skis, take off ski boots and wet outerwear. The first floor bedroom opens into that hallway and has a private door from the rest of the home. This bedroom has a queen bed, a single bed with a trundle, a private full bath and a large closet with two chest of drawers for ample storage. The room is well lit and has a large television. A family or a couple desiring privacy will love this bedroom. The living room is large and has a pull out full bed in the sectional sofa. There is a large television, a foosball table and a playstation 2 with many games. The lofty ceiling gives it a gorgeous light to show off the antique ski posters and the tasteful examples of art from the thriving artist community. Walk out the sliding glass door to the large deck with a picnic table and wildlife viewing area. There is a gas grill for your use. The well-stocked kitchen has a coffee maker, Le Creuset pots, a blender, two refrigerators, utensils and pots and pans and is perfect for entertaining family and friends. There are two tables, a dining table and a hexagonal breakfast table with wrap around seating. The cozy family room with a slate fireplace, comfy sofas, a television and ample wood is a perfect place to enjoy the checkers game on the table. There is ample light for reading especially in the wood paneled reading room with panoramic windows at the back of the house by the stream. The second floor has three bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with a king sized bed and private full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub at the back of the house. There are two bedrooms with queen beds and a shared full bathroom. The closets are large and there is ample storage in each room with a private television for each bedroom. The large hot water heater helps ensure that all our guests have plenty of hot water and there is a full sized washer and dryer. There are board games, many books, blocks and puzzles. We welcome families. There is one king bed, three queen sized beds, two single beds and a pull out full bed. We are a 3.5 hour scenic drive from Washington DC and 3 hours from Pittsburg. This is the perfect weekend get-away from the hustle and bustle of our regular lives.
