Nestled in the woods, our home in Old Timberline is a great getaway as a couples retreat or a family fun-filled weekend. Ensuring an abundance of privacy, the property is situated on 5 acres at the end of the road in a community with entry via a guarded gate house. A perfect spot for gentle bike rides, taking pleasure in a walk and catching the amazing night skies, White Tail Run provides a reprieve from the hustle and bustle. The house is comprised of a well-appointed kitchen with 2 dining tables, 4 comfortable bedrooms and 3 full baths. There are 2 generous living areas; one upper, one lower, each with an enormous wood burning stone fireplace. Retreat downstairs and take in a movie on the 55 inch LED TV or a game of pool in a separate room. The open backyard provides lots of room for romping in all seasons. Plus, for the adventurous there is a path leading down the hill to the enchantments of the meandering Blackwater River. Sit on one of the generous rocks and listen to nature or get a kick out of the squeals of children spying crayfish. Enjoy the outdoor porch and relish the early morning harmony of the birds and deer as well as capturing the fabulous evening sun sets. Whatever the reason or season, White Tail Run provides the gifts of nature, privacy and comfort ensuring a relaxing stay and an opportunity to build amazing vacation memories anytime of the year. The beauty of a Timberline location is that you have access to many area attractions. The houses location is close driving proximity for winter fun at both of the slopes of Timberline and Canaan making it convenient to drop off the snow bunnies and pick them up anytime. During the warmer months it is easy to plan your outdoor excursions to Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Smoke Hole Caverns, or the Dolly Sods and easily make it back to home base with plenty of time to relax. If you should be coming from the DC/NVA area, from exit 55 on I-66 it is approximately 2 1/2 hours! An easy drive now that US 48 (Corridor H) is complete to the top of Scherr Mountain. approximately 2 hours and
