This Private Getaway Is Located Within A Mile Of Restaurants, Grocery, Gas & Other Necessities. New Bern Offers People Many Different Types Of Experiences. Enjoy The Many Events, Shows, Shops & Restaurants Of Our Historic Downtown. New Bern Is Located Where The Trent & Neuse Rivers Meet. Boating & Fishing Are Popular Pastimes. Built In The In 40s, The Barn Was Converted Into A Home In The 80s. This Unique Space Has Been Redesigned As A Relaxing Getaway. The Rustic Atmosphere Is Complimented With Antique Furniture & Nostalgic Decor Items. To Future Improve Your Stay We Have Added New Memory Foam Mattresses, Linens, Pillows, Towels & More. The New Rinnai Water Heater Provides Ample Hot Water For All. Accommodation Includes Two Bedrooms Each With A Double Bed. An Overhead Loft Has One Extra Long Twin Bed & One Cot: A Perfect Place For The Kids To Hangout. Additional Cots Are Also Available. The Great Room, Bedrooms & Bathroom Are On The Second Floor. The House Is Not Handicap Accessible. The Barn Is Outfitted With All The Items Guests Need For A Night Or An Extended Visit. Including Beach Chairs, Towels & Toys. Need Something - Please Just Ask. There Is A Washer & Dryer Available Onsite For Guest Use. Neuse River Beachfront Is Accessible Via The Driveway. The River Is Not Visible From The Barn. Wind Tides Make Water Levels Unpredictable. High Tide Is Perfect For Lounging By The Water. Low Tide Is Perfect For Relaxing Or Playing In The Sand. Great Fishing Location For Small Boats, Canoes, Kayaks, Etc. We Do Not Provide Boats, Canoes Or Kayaks For Guest Use. Guests Are Asked Not To Pass Through The Apiary (beehives). Guests Do Not Have Access To The Private Residence, Garage & Greenhouse Located At 2504 Old Cherry Point Road. Every Visitor Is Unique & We Respect Guests' Privacy. We Will Greet You The Day Of Arrival & Are Available (we Live Next Door At 2504 Old Cherry Point Road) To Assist Guests As Needed. Please Ask Us For Local Recommendations. The Barn Has Parking Available For Two Vehicles. If Arriving By Plane, We Are Located Less Than 3 Miles From The Craven County Regional Airport. Occasionally A Small Commuter Jet Will Passover. We Are Not Located Under The Flight Path. The Airport Has Car Rentals, Taxi & Other Transportation Services Available. We Wash All Towels & Linens With Non-scented, Hypo-allergenic Products. We Are Beekeepers. There Are Honeybees At Work On The Property. Honeybees Are More Interested In Plants & Trees Than In People. If You Would Like To Learn More About Honeybees & Beekeeping, Please Ask Your Host For Additional Information. Honey Is For Sale When In Season. The Neuse River Does Not Have A Sandy Bottom. We Advise Wearing Water Shoes To Protect Feet From Rocks, Tree Stumps, Etc. Occasionally There Is A Fish Kill. These Unfortunate Events Are Unpredictable. It Is Not Advisable To Use The Beach And/or Enter The Water During One Of These Events. There Are No Animals Onsite. If You Visit The River Beachfront You Will Be Greeted By Our Dog Tatum. We Do Not Permit Pets In The Barn. Service Animals Will Be Permitted & Are Not Considered As Pets. We Are Non-smokers. Smoking Is Not Permitted Anywhere On The Property.
