Our mountain home retreat is a family and pet friendly mountain cabin. Beautiful and secluded in Sphinx Park. This mountain getaway has all the comforts of home. Built in the 1920's, this wonderfully appointed retreat welcomes you to a cozy living room with fireplace and skylights. The large deck overlooks pines and rocky outcroppings. Forest scenery and rippling Elk Creek invite outdoor relaxation. It is within 10 min. to Pine Valley Open Space Park (Crystal Lake). Picnic area with hiking and biking trails. The North Fork of the South Platte River runs through it with great fishing. The lake is stocked with nice rainbow trout regularly. Enjoy the relaxing setting during the day, and at night the clear sky will amaze you with star studded clarity. Fully furnished, complete with kitchen and full bath. It features satellite TV, VCR, DVD, and a CD player. Telephone use with long distance calling available. Pots and pans for your cooking pleasure. The kitchen is fully outfitted, enough dishes, etc. to prepare a full holiday meal. Washer and dryer are located on the same level. Well water without the added chemicals found in city water is completely safe. For a restful night's sleep, is a cozy master bedroom with a full bed & large windows that open to hear the whispering creek that will lull you to sleep. The cabin has a large wood burning fireplace & a airtight stove to provide warmth. There is a electric heater in the bathroom plus a heat lamp for a comfortable lazy bath or an invigorating shower. Well behaved dogs are welcomed. Private and safe parking next to the creek. The second bedroom has a futon that will sleep two. There are windows that overlook the deck and mountain scenery. Electric heat is provided for extra warmth. Large deck with redwood lounge chairs and picnic table.
