Are you looking for a romantic escape~sipping wine on the beach, listening to the still of the night and moonlit walks at the water's edge.. or repeating those childhood memories with your family of no internet, cable or clocks... enjoy fishing, campfires, movie nights & fireflies... Our cottages are perfect to escape the hustle & bustle! Here are the finer points of renting our cottages: We have 3 rustic cottages, all a short flip-flop from the sandy beach! *Peak season rates Memorial Day-Labor Day & weekends mid May-mid Oct. *Off peak rates April-mid May, mid Oct-Nov & weekday rentals mid May-Mem Day & Labor Day-mid Oct. *Full weeks only (Sat arrival & departure) June, July & Aug The Hideaway, sleeps 6 in beds-queen in sleeping area off living room, double/full in a sleeping area off the dining/kitchen, 2 twins in a separate bedroom plus 2 regular sofas. It is set about 100ft back from the road & lake. You'll enjoy a woodsy setting (just a short walk to the beach) in this spacious year-round cottage with large living area, full kitchen, full bath, furnace & woodstove. Peak season $950/week or $160/night, Off peak $810/week or $135/night + $75/week or $15/night to bring 1 35+ pound dog or 2 smaller dogs+ tax*. Please inquire if you would like to bring additional dogs. The Viking cottage, with beautiful water view sleeps 6 in beds plus a sofa sleeper-double in the downstairs bedroom, 2 doubles in the loft, full bath, kitchen & wood burning fireplace. Peak season $875/week or $145/night, off peak $745/week, 125/night + the same dog fees & tax. The cozy, studio style Nook (fka the Firefly) sleeps 2 in a queen bed in the main room plus a sofa sleeper in the adjoining room (best for kids), with soothing water view, 3/4 bath, full kitchen & DVD-only TV. Peak season $625/week or 105/night, off peak rate $535/week $89/night + the same dog fees & tax. This is a 3 season cottage heated by baseboard and space heaters and can be chilly in the colder weather. Arrival and Departure You're welcome to arrive anytime after 3pm. *Please, no early arrivals. Saturdays are hectic when all 3 cottages are turning over & we need time to clean.*If you're planning a later arrival, a heads up would be much appreciated so we know we have a little more time to clean. Thank you! Park right in front of the cottage, go in & make yourselves at home. Keys and a note will be on the table inside. Departure should be by 10am. *If you're planning an earlier departure, a heads up would be much appreciated so we can get in to clean ASAP. Thanks Occupancy limits ~The cottages have maximum occupancies of 8 (Hideaway), 8 (Viking) & 4 (Nook) INCLUDING children over 2. If a group wishes to exceed their occupancy limit, it must be cleared with us first or they could be asked to leave, without a refund. Unfortunately a few have ruined it for the many by pitching several tents, grossly exceeding capacity & infringing upon the other cottages expected space and enjoyment of the peace and quiet. Parking ~There are parking limits of 3 vehicles (Hideaway) & 2 vehicles (Viking & Nook). Please ask us in advance if you're wanting to bring a small boat as one of your vehicles. This may work, but you must have prior approval. Where exactly should we park? **parking for the HIDEAWAY cottage has especially become an issue. You may only park on the SOUTH/LEFT side of the center line of the driveway. The area on the north/right side belongs to my neighbor and is not Firefly Cottages' property. Viking & Nook guests park right in front of their respective cottages. Use of property ~Please leave all areas as you found them and be respectful of other guests and neighbors, especially with respect to late night/early morning noise. ~The beach fire pit is shared among the cottages. Use down trees/brush or buy firewood at most local gas stations. Please leave the area as you found it. ~Feel free to make sandcastles etc on the beach but please fill in any large holes when you are finished for th
