'Stormys Cabin' is an exceptional, new, well-equipped vintage 3 BR 2 BA cabin. Clean lake with private boathouse,dock,beach,spacious stone patio with firepit and an outdoor Finnish steam sauna. This private hideaway-nuzzled between woods and water-is great for families or as a romantic escape. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bunk area that sleeps at least 8: the downstairs 'Deer' bedroom (Queen), upstairs 'Fox' bedroom #1(2 XL twins), upstairs 'Badger' bedroom #2(Full sleigh bed) and the bunkroom (2 twin upper, 2 double lower). Extra sleeping areas include 2 oversized leather couches in the living room and a hanging twin 'swing bed' in the lakeside screened porch. Free Hi speed WiFi for emails, internet browsing for office work and access to guest desktop computer. Flat screen TV and DVD player with local Twin cities programming (13 Hi Def channels with exceptional reception). Stormys Cabin is conveniently located on crystal clear Pipe Lake, WI (90 minutes NE of the Twin Cities). Private, peaceful location on heavily wooded lot at the end of a winding gravel road. Two spacious screened porches for dining, playing mini-ping pong, listening to loons, watching the sun set over the lake, reading or napping on the swingbed. The kitchen is fully loaded with a dining nook and windows that open directly to an adjoining screened dining porch. Two large dining tables each easily seat 8+. The living room is relaxed and spacious with sliding doors that open directly to the side porch overlooking the lake. The wood stove with stone hearth, oversized furniture and 100 year old reclaimed barn beams makes this room a cozy retreat. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms, living room and porches pull in the fresh summer breezes and the central A/C is rarely needed. The textured cement in floor heating and the woodstove keep you warm and snug in cooler weather. Stormys Cabin was architect designed and built to be comfortable and eco-friendly, through innovative design and the copious use of sustainable building materials including reclaimed wood,cement,stone and metal. The clean water and sandy swim area off the dock makes for easy access to water activities. The boathouse is stocked with four kayaks, a paddleboat, a canoe, a 14' fishing boat, 2 stand up paddleboards (SUPS), swimming/snorkeling gear, some basic fishing gear and beach toys including foam pool mattresses for offshore floating. Outdoor stone patio with firepit and the nearby 300 sq foot boathouse deck with lounge chairs, bistro and picnic table perched over the lake. Clean weed-free waters allow for great visibility and swimming right off the dock especially after a steam sauna. Kids love snorkeling around the dock and swim platform chasing the bluegill and crappies. Pipe Lake is known for its privacy, clear waters, lack of weeds and excellent panfish/bass fishing. Panfish, northern and walleye are also in abundance. This quiet 350 acre lake is just right for swimming, paddling, cruising, waterskiing or sailing in the summer. Biking and long walks are also easy. Newly paved asphalt low traffic country roads-walk or bike for miles accessed right from the cabin. Fall colors can be perfect with the abundance of maples that surround the lake. Easily accessed winter activities, just right out the cabin door, include: outdoor sauna, ice fishing, sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling (Pipe Lake joins with county snowmobile trails). Although the location is private and rural, there are towns within 10-15 minutes that offer golfing, movie theatres, bowling, restaurants and a gambling casino (St.Croix Casino).
