This lovely three bedroom home is located on Harkers Island with gorgeous views of Back Sound and Cape Lookout Lighthouse. All the comforts of home. Sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and enjoy the view, or take a ferry across to Shackleford Banks for swimming, fishing, shelling, or enjoying the wild ponies roaming the dunes. There are several marinas as well as a public boat ramp nearby where you can launch your boat, and there is boat parking at the house. Also on the island are the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, several seafood restaurants, gift shops, a small grocery store, and bait and tackle shops. A short distance from the island is the historic town of Beaufort. There you can enjoy a variety of dining, shopping, and sightseeing options, as well as the Maritime Museum. In Morehead City and Bogue Banks are charter fishing boats, the Civil War era Fort Macon, and the NC Acquarium. Whatever you end up doing, you will find yourself having a wonderful time.
