Description

This is a waterfront hand hewn log cabin with beautiful log furnishings in the most spectacular northern Wisconsin setting for active families or quiet getaways in summer, fall or winter. The cabin has 2 master bedrooms on the first floor one with a jetted whirlpool and sauna and one with a gas fireplace. Upstairs is a loft with 2 log day beds and 1 bedroom with 2 double beds. All are furnished in a rustic decor. The kitchen sits directly on the lakefront with a large island that seats 6 and the dinning area also looks out onto the lake with a large log table that seats 8. Our log home also has a large screen porch and seperate large deck both on the water. For activities, in summer the crystal clear 10 Lake Manitowish Chain provides fun filled full days on the water swimming, fishing, tubing, and waterskiing, not too mention a break for ice cream or lunch by boat. During slow boat rides throughout the lakes you will also find white sand beaches to take a plung or simply enjoy the sun on the water. For those that want to start there day quietly they will also enjoy canoeing the tranquil waters with only the loons and abundant wildlife before the fun filled family day begins. And, in the evening favorite activities include going by boat to dinner at one of the 4 fabulous northwoods restaurants, strolling down to the lodge for a fish fry or homemade pizza or grilling out and then going for a sunset cruise. In fall, activities continue on the beautiful Manitowish Chain as colors of fall come to life. Hiking, biking, great fishing, hunting or simple walks in the crisp autumn air among towering pines are all activities that attract repeat guests to the area. In winter families enjoy skiing at the ski areas 30 miles north in the upper peninsula, cross country skiing on grommed trails deep into the woods along winter streams or snowmobiling some of the best trails in northern Wisconsin directly from your back door!
