Lakeview Lodge is named for its incredible view of beautiful Squaw Lake. Perched atop a gentle slope, guests enjoy unrivaled views of the lake, and surrounding birch, pine and maple trees from the large picture windows, the front deck and picnic/camp fire area. This house is ideal for multiple families because of its set-up. It has two levels--level in from the driveway and level-out toward the lake--and features four bedrooms, three bathrooms (one tub, two showers), two full kitchens with all cooking/eating utensils, two dining rooms and living areas, two TVs (including a 37' HD flatscreen) with DirecTV satellite service featuring over 200 channels, two VCR/DVD players, laundry facilities and lots of privacy. ⢠The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a beautiful view. ⢠The second bedroom contains a double bed and set of bunks. ⢠The third bedroom offers a double bed. â¢The fourth bedroom on the lower level has a queen-size bed and a private bathroom. ⢠Roll-away and trundle beds, and a fold-out sofa are available for extra sleeping space. All of your bed linens, sheets/blankets/pillows, are provided. The interior is decorated with vintage quilts and tapestries, and antique furniture and special artistic touches are found throughout. An extensive reading library is also featured. Lakeview Lodge also has a very large screened porch with a table and chairs and a lounge chair, and deck on the front with Adirondack chairs for you to sit back and enjoy the view. LOCATED ON SQUAW LAKE: Squaw is 785-acre, class A muskie lake and it's NOT on a chain. (This means there's lots of water to explore without a lot of boat traffic). It's known for its loon families, eagle and heron nests, and also known for northern, walleye and crappie fishing. Pan fish may be caught off the end of the dock or swim rafts. Walleye bag limits (and other restrictions) are determined each spring and posted at the public boat landing on the west side of the lake. Fishing licenses and live bait are available at nearby bait/tackle shops. There is a fish cleaning house on the property. Please note: We require a two-night minimum stay, and during the high summer season (mid-June through the third week of August) we rent only by the week, Saturday-to-Saturday.
