THIS IS A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY. Large custom home on 1 wooded acre with spectacular views of (and close access to) the red rocks and wildlife located conveniently between Denver and Colorado Springs. Our home is 45 min from DIA and 40 min from Colorado Springs Airport. This unique home is great for those who want a quiet location for their family to enjoy or to have a romantic getaway, yet have easy access to the entire Front Range. You will enjoy the seclusion of the property, the spacious room in the house, large comfortable beds (5 queens), 2 peaceful patios with comfortable furniture, and fun in and outside. You will see abundant wildlife (daily you will see mule deer/black squirrels/chipmunks/hummingbirds, often you will see foxes, and occasionally you will see bears/mountain lions/moose). You will enjoy the ease of preparing meals in the stunning kitchen. The horseshoe pit is popular and many guests enjoy the large screen tvs in either family room and the extensive movie collection. You and your partner will enjoy the double headed shower or the jetted tub in the master bathroom. The basement has recently been finished, adding a bedroom, bathroom, family room area with another tv and pool table, and wet bar. We rent frequently to families of the Air Force Academy cadets for graduation and parents' weekend. Our summer (and sometimes winter) rentals often are to wedding guests of Spruce Mountain Ranch. This is a very popular area for road bikers as there are great roads that have low traffic and fabulous scenery. The neighborhood backs up to Pike National Forest, with access to day hiking. Local attractions include: To the North: Castle Rock Outlet Malls, Denver Elitch Gardens Amusement Park, Colorado History Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Zoo, Denver Natural History Museum, Pepsi Center, Coors Field, Sports Authority at Mile High, Water World (Nation's biggest water park), Wildlife Experience, etc. Minutes from World Class Golf Course Bear Dance and annual summertime Renaissance Festival. To the South: Air Force Academy, Garden of Gods, Pikes Peak, Cog Railroad, Cave of the Winds, Cliff Dwellings, Manitou Springs, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls, North Pole Amusement Park, Cripple Creek Gambling, Florissant Fossil Beds, Woodland Park, Fort Carson, Colorado Christian University, etc. This is a totally non-smoking home (both indoors and outdoors). Please do not rent this home if you or anyone in your party is a smoker. There are no situations in which smoking is permitted. Cats and dogs have been on the property and in the home. This is not an appropriate rental for you if you have allergies. Our rates are based on a group of 8 or less. Every additional person over 8 is an additional $40 per person per night, regardless of age of person. We do not allow anyone on the property that is not a registered guest. We do not permit weddings, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, etc as we do not have parking to support this and our home is in a neighborhood. Our property is under surveillance in common areas.
