Looking for the ideal family getaway? Our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home in prime La Jolla is perfect for one or two families. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck off the master bedroom, eat lunch sourced from the local markets out in the garden and catch some sun and a cocktail up on the roof deck, watching the sunset. Enjoy the 180 degree panoramic views from the decks on the top two levels of the home. Escape the Southern California sun on our back patio where you can BBQ and relax in shady privacy. Inside, you'll find state of the art LED TV's with premium cable package located throughout the house including in the 4th bedroom set up as a media room - so the kids can watch a movie while the adults sip wine on the patio. Cable, wifi internet will keep you connected and TVs are netflix enabled for you to access your account and catch up on your favorite shows. Upstairs you'll find the huge Master Suite with private deck, en suite bathroom with walk in shower, soaking tub, separate toilet and a large walk in closet. A second bedroom with a queen sized bed and attached bath and a children's room with two twin beds and fun decorations complete the upper level, (other than the staircase which takes you up to the roof deck where two patio loungers await the sun worshippers amongst you.) Downstairs we have top of the line appliances and fittings in our spacious open plan kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need - coffee machine, blender, food processor, chef's knives and baking equipment. Huge granite workspaces let you can spread out while you cook and the bar stools allow those who prefer to watch, to enjoy a margarita while offering culinary advice! The formal dining room seats 8 so you can share your culinary masterpieces with your friends and family, with the french doors open to the front porch bringing in the gentle sea breeze. Or if you prefer more casual cooking and dining, fire up the BBQ and eat outside on the back deck. If you don't want to cook, La Jolla Village is a short walk away with multiple restaurant choices (Indian, Thai, Chinese, woodfired pizza, Italian, modern American and casual brunch cafes and coffee shops). Also a short walk is the lovely sandy beach at the bottom of the road, much quieter and less crowded than the main beaches of La Jolla, it is perfect for sandcastle building, watching the surfers or doing a little boogie boarding. Walk back to the house for a break and a snack, the outdoor tap is perfect for washing off sandy feet and there are beach toys available to ensure full scale sancastle construction! There are many gorgeous beaches in the area - the one at La Jolla Shores is beautiful (6 minute drive) with a children's playground across the walkway and a parking lot nearby. La Jolla Cove is also a 5 minute drive (or half hour walk) with upscale boutiques, shops and restaurants and large grassy expanses down near the water. If you are in La Jolla, you are just 20 minutes away from the atrtractions of downtown San Diego - the Gas Lamp district, Coronado Island, Balboa Park as well as SeaWorld, the world famous San Diego zoo and the Safari park. Or maybe a day's shopping at the Westfield Center is in order, followed by a pedicure or a movie. A short drive north (20 mins) will take you to Carlsbad and Legoland or enjoy a drive up the Pacific Coast Highway visiting beach towns like Cardiff by the Sea, Solano Beach and Encinitas. If you like racing, Del Mar is one exit north on the freeway, so the horses and the action are close! Del Mar also hosts the county fair every June. Whether you want a quiet beach vacation or excursions every day, there is something for everyone in this area, young and old. Our house is the perfect base to explore it all from, designed for relaxation and family fun with space for everyone to enjoy whatever it is they want to do.
