This fabulous one of a kind beach home is located 1.5 from the beach in one of South Redondo's most desired locations. On the 'Avenues' just down the street from the Riveria Village outdoor shops and restaurants this highly desire area is a small stretch that runs from Ave A to Ave I ending at the Village. Known as the South bay these small beach cities have been a hidden treasure for decades. This area has many beautiful old historic homes, ours was Built in 1929.This French Normandy style is truly a wonderful retreat! it is classed as one of Redondo's Historic Homes and we are truly proud to be part of its heritage Restored over the years, it has most of its original windows and hardwood floors. The home is bright and sunny, and french pass-through doors separate the dining room from the kitchen. 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, dining room seats ten, eat-in kitchen that seats four to six, pantry with beautiful hutches, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. A gorgeous deck overlooking the backyard that is covered in vines, trees, flowers, its magical with wisteria hanging overhead giving you the feeling your somewhere magical! The kitchen~ has a stainless steel convection/regular oven and double drawer stainless steel dishwasher. It's is complete with spices, coffee pot, blender and all amenities needed for cooking. We have blenders, Cuisinart, mixers, extra pots and pans, lobster pot, coffee pot, tea kettle,linens and more! We have 2 refrigerators in case the are needed, one in the pantry. Living room~has a large wood burning fireplace in the winter it is wonderful to watch a great old movie with a roaring fire going! Vintage hutches throughout the house storing dishes, books, and movies to watch. The home has antique chandeliers in most rooms lending to its old world charm. Dinning room has a country french look with a table seating 6-10 The bedrooms~ The master Suite is an extra large Bedroom-over 600 square feet with triple sliding doors leading to the deck. The master has a pillow top mattress and memory foam mattress toppers. All rooms have goose down comforters, with custom linen duvets. Bedroom Suite #2~ also has memory foam topper and pillow top mattress. A large room open up to the out-side deck, a sitting ares with french chairs and a desk for doing a bit of catch up if needed! We Hope not! It's spacious and private, none of the bedrooms have common walls giving extra privacy. Flat screen TV DVD player, cable with 200 channels. Custom linen duvet cover, lovely area rugs making the room super comfortable with custom made chandelier hanging over the bed. A beautiful room with french accents. The third bedroom is decorated in a shabby chic style with both a full and twin size bed. All rooms have hand refinished vintage furniture done compliments of Allard Designs studios in Redondo Beach. Old world charm with french accents. This room will sleep three people. Bathrooms~ The middle bathroom has been restored with a 1920's hand painted vanity and brushed nickel sink and faucet. It has a one of a kind chandelier, wall sconces and silk beaded shades. The Garden~ is a wonderful retreat all on its own, boasting a hand-painted mural compliments of a local artist. A lovely fountain surrounded by a pond with an avocado tree and giant bird of paradise, palm trees and vines cover the property, and in season the smell of jasmine is all around. The deck is situated off the house,covered with wisteria(in season) and is furnished with wrought Iron tables and chairs, chaise lounges, and a glass table that seats six. A wonderful place to dine after a relaxing day at the beach! The house is beautiful and charming yet functional. Great location--1.5 blocks to the sand. Quiet and private, this house is perfect if you want to be away from all the noise of the big cities but close enough to everything.
