Rental is by homeowner, with our rates at a special discount - approximately a 15% savings over prices charged when rented through realtors. Cleaning and linens are included in our rate. Our summer rate of $1475/ week applies for open dates August 9 -15. In Late Summer (August 16 - September 5), our rate drops to $1375/week and drops again to $1115/week in the Fall (September 6 to November 21). Florida 9% tax is additional. NO DOGS except for monthly winter rentals. We are located in The Plantation, a private gated community with lush native vegetation. Our home overlooks the bay without having to walk to an upper level to see water, as one often must do in homes not directly on the water. We have the bayside views, but are only 1.5 blocks from the beach side of the island with the community 70' pool/ lap lanes, clubhouse, tennis court, workout room, bike path, and boardwalk beach access. When the ocean side waves are high, you can hear the pounding surf at our house! Our home is a one-story bayfront, newly painted and roofed with skylights, on a double lot. We offer privacy and breathtaking sunset views across Apalachicola Bay. We are situated on a secluded 2.5 acre wooded site with landscaped front and side lawns. Birdwatching and stargazing are both excellent here. Only three other homes are located off Bayview Drive. We have a 150â long boardwalk extending over native wetlands to our private dock, with a shallow water boat slip suitable for flats boats. The dock also has a step down 4' x 8' kayak launch platform with railings to assist in entry/exit from your boat. Kayak NOT included. We keep a crab trap at the ready and fish from the dock itself. Redfish and sea trout are often caught in the cove in front of our home. Kids can watch small fish and crabs move about under the dock. This is our family's 'island retreatâ, not a rental unit. Our home has hardwood and tile flooring, a well equipped and updated gourmet kitchen, vaulted living room ceiling, comfortable furnishings, sliding glass doors in every room, and incredible views. We have 2 Queen bedrooms, 1 twin bed bedroom. All bedrooms have double sliding glass doors leading to the wrap-around deck and the living room has double and triple sliding glass doorways, all with great vistas. One master bath, plus two additional bathrooms sharing a tub/shower room between them (Jack-and-Jill style arrangement). High-speed internet plus HBO/cable. Two TVs are connected to the internet with free Amazon PRIME movies and TV shows (entire HBO past series just added), as well as Netflix, Hulu, and Zulu for a fee or via renter's subscription. Two air conditioners, allowing a different setting in two of the bedrooms from the rest of the house. Additional outdoor hot/cold shower. Large, custom 36â stainless steel grill + smoker. Ample covered parking and a circular driveway for boat/trailer. We love using our home ourselves, and keep it clean and well equiped. Keywords: BayFront home. One floor. Dock.
